My research topic : Music
Target : Japanese University students
Number of respondents : (10)

(Summary) Students answered 9 questions about music.

(Results)

Graph#1 shows that most respondents like music. In fact, 80% responded "yes", 20% responded "so-so", and there were no "no" responses. These results are not very surprising considering the popularity of music in Japan.

Graph#2 shows that J-POP is the most popular kind of music. All people responded "like J-POP". However, there were no "K-POP" responses. I was surprised that this result.

Graph#3 shows that Spotify as the respondents' favorite music site. However, there is no big difference between Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Surprisingly, very few people were using YouTube Music, and no one was using Line Music.

Graph#4 shows that how many hours do participants listen to music a day. A very surprising result was that one participant answered 5 hours a day. That being said, most participants answered between 1 to 3 hours a day.

Graph#5 shows that most respondents that enjoy listening to music on train or bus. A very surprising result was that few people listen to music in the car.

Graph#6 shows that the best time to listen to music is generally later in the evening. However, it should be noted that opinions were more divided than I expected.

List#7 shows that effects of listening to music. I cited relaxing as an example of the positive effect of listening to music, but there were many other interesting opinions as well.

List#8 shows the participants' opinion of listening to music helps relieve stress. There are a lot of original and interesting opinions. Surprisingly, all participants said that listening to music helps relieve stress.

(CONCLUSION)

This survey has many surprising results. These results could find out what kind of music Japanese university students like and what effect listening to music has on us.
